    Freckles Cream

    • There are creams on the market that claim to fade freckles or get rid of them altogether.
    • Most of the creams contain harsh chemicals such as hydroquinone which has adverse side effects. Some topical skin whitening creams are simply a camouflaged form of bleaching agents that can cause irreparable damage to the skin. It is important to seek opinion from a dermatologist before using any of these creams.
    • Skin discolouration can also be another disadvantage of using bleaching creams. The areas around the freckles can become lighter than a person’s skin colour. It is also possible to get hyper-pigmentation (darkening of the skin) from the long-term usage of the creams.
    • These creams only bleach the surface of the skin and temporarily lighten freckles. These creams are ineffective in getting rid of freckles.
