How does Photo Rejuvenation work?

Light energy is delivered through the skin and is then absorbed by the targeted damaged tissue. Fine lines and wrinkles and general improvement of skin texture works through the promotion of collagen.

Who is suitable for the treatment?

Appropriate for both men & women who wish for a more even skin tone and show mild to moderate signs of sun damage and photoaging.
Suitable for anyone who has neglected their skin, the skin is feeling dull and grey and they are in need of instant skin rejuvenation.
Suitable for anyone who wants natural progressive results without the downtime associated with other procedures.

Who is NOT suitable for the treatment?

Smokers.
Clients with excessive alcohol consumption.
Those with severe wrinkling and photo ageing.

What steps are involved in the treatment?

Your skin is cleansed and massaged to prepare it for the Microdermabrasion.
The skin is sandblasted with Medical grade crystals to remove the stratum corneum (top layer of the skin).
Excess crystals are rubbed into the skin and then wiped away.
Goggles are put over the eyes and a chilled gel is applied to the skin.
A short pulse of light is released in each section till the whole area is covered.
The gel is removed and skin cleaned up.
A Vitamin C cooling Mask is applied to provide further vitamins to the skin and take away any redness.
A tinted Sun Protection cream is applied before you leave the clinic.
Your Skin will be left soft, smooth & more luminous.

How many treatments are required?

6 treatments spaced out every 2-4 weeks is required for collagen remodelling.
Pigment and vascular irregularities may clear in 2-3 sessions.

Are there any possible side effects?

Since the treatment is non-invasive it does not have any side effects – except for temporary redness which may last anything from a few hours up to a day or two.
You can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment.
