How does High Frequency Facial work?

A glass electrode is placed in direct contact with the skin. The current is dispersed at the point of contact with the client and as the effects are concentrated around the electrode, they are very beneficial for the skin. It has a germicidal and bacterial effect and drastically reduces Acne.

Who is suitable for the Treatment?

This is a safe procedure which can be performed on Men and Women including teenagers suffering from mild to moderate Acne.
It is suitable for anyone suffering from Body Acne such as Back or Chest.
It is also suitable for treating just one spot before a special occasion such as a Wedding.

Dysfunction or disorders of the nervous system

Consultation procedure

Prior to the treatment, you must first undergo a consultation where details about your medical history are obtained in order to confirm suitability.

What steps are involved in the treatment?

The skin will be cleansed with an Acne cleanser to ensure it is grease free.
The skin is further prepped so it is receptive to the electrical treatment.
An exfoliation treatment will be carried out using a vitamin c activation scrub.
The high frequency treatment will be carried out using a glass electrode for 8-10 minutes.
An Oxygenating Mask will be applied to the skin.
The treatment is finished off with an Acne serum and oil free moisturiser.
This treatment can be combined with other acne treatments such as Agera Skin Peels and IPL Acne treatments.

How long does the treatment take?

A typical treatment session is approximately 20 minutes.

How does the treatment feel?

Treatment is mildly uncomfortable.
You will feel very mild electric current, most clients find the treatment deeply relaxing.

How many treatments are required?

We recommend having the treatments once a week for a minimum of 6-8 sessions and then maintenance sessions thereafter.

Are there any possible side effects?

High frequency is considered extremely safe. There are very limited possible side effects, all of them relatively mild (short-term skin irritation for example).
